T-Craft: A brief history

Mid 60's Rodney Thompson started first T-Craft
Early 70's molds were sold to Rodney's employees, hull design changes were made.
The boats were sold as "Watercraft/T-craft"
Early 80's
Fire broke out, the molds deemed destroyed
90's-2005 Robin, Strike, Outcast and others made variations of the design

2009
Since inception in 2009 T-Craft Boatworks has been committed to the boating enthusiast with it’s multiple uses inshore – offshore “hybrid” applications.
The evolution in design using 35 plus years of engineering and design experience coupled with the advancements in modern materials and techniques has increased the capabilities of this large beam vessel.
The improved T-Craft carries the majority of it’s 9 foot length at the waterline. This “footprint” provides the most laterally stable boat on the market; angler and commercial applications alike.
Gelcoat, resins (VEEP), laminates, and coring serve to make the vessel more durable while adding agility and efficiency, while still maintaining a classic feel.
Hull changes included entry modifications, hard chine addition, and keel modifications to reduce drag and propeller slip. Floor to cap heights increased on stern (18.5”) and bow (28.5”) raised cap style is (31”).
Floor heights, floor draft, and molded sealed hatches help to make this boat self bailing with ability to carry loads in excess of 3,000 lbs consistently and comfortably with as little as a 4 cylinder 200 horsepower engine.
We have implemented a few variations with our cap (11.25” wide gunnels) and our boat is a true flange style assembly (epoxy bond and laminated) This allows us to utilize arguably the industry’s most durable rub rail.
The T-Craft boasts over 18 feet bow to stern cockpit space. The anchor locker and trolling motor are accessed with minimal effort.
The livewell and electrical systems are proven daily, with many commercially owned and operated vessels in service.
